There was plenty of colour, creativity and conversation flowing in Belfast as we officially launched Poco Vino to the Northern Ireland market.
Distributed locally by United Wines, Poco Vino brings a fresh approach to wine occasions with a premium range packaged exclusively in convenient 187ml single-serve bottles — perfect for enjoying a glass of wine without opening a full bottle.
The range includes Malbec, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc and Rosé, offering consumers more flexibility while still delivering on quality and taste.
To celebrate the launch, we hosted a vibrant ‘Paint & Sip’ evening with Vino van Gogh at The Pocket. Guests enjoyed Poco Vino while taking part in a guided painting session, bringing together wine, creativity and social connection in a way that perfectly reflected the brand’s relaxed and modern personality.
Speaking about the launch, United Wines Brand Manager Olivia McAleenan said:
“Sometimes the best things really do come in small packages, and we’re delighted to introduce Poco Vino to the Northern Ireland market.
“The single-serve format gives consumers more flexibility to enjoy wine their way, whether that’s a glass after work, sharing a moment with friends or simply avoiding opening a full bottle.”
The launch comes as consumer habits continue to evolve, with more people seeking moderation, convenience and flexibility in how they enjoy wine. Research shared by Poco Vino found that 44% of UK drinkers regularly enjoy just one glass of wine, while 68% say they would avoid opening a bottle if they didn’t plan to finish it.
Also attending the event was Tim Rosewell from Australian Vintage Wines, who highlighted the growing demand for more adaptable wine formats.
“Consumers increasingly want the freedom to enjoy wine without committing to a full bottle,” he said.
“Poco Vino is designed for exactly that, offering great wine in a convenient format that suits modern lifestyles.”
Poco Vino is now available to hospitality venues and retailers across Northern Ireland through United Wines.
